Let’s Move! Blaine (LMB) is active community organization apart of Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties.

Vision: Decrease childhood obesity within a generation by promoting healthy lifestyles.

Mission: The Let’s Move! Blaine Coalition is an active participant in combating childhood obesity locally by linking community resources with schools and families.

4/18/17 Blaine Elementary PTO $250 for reimbursement last April’s Pizza for BES Dance

 3.Discuss Program Manager Duties, and need to report;
-Jaclyn will keep track of how much time is spent on which duties. There will be a sheet filled out to present at every meeting with very specific information.
-Jaclyn will spend 10 hours a month on administrative duties and 10 hours a month on special projects. This time-frame may change depending on current programs and activities.


 4.Jaci’s Report on Water Bottles;
-Jaclyn presented 4 different water bottles ranging in prices of $4.79 to $6.56
-The board decided on a specific type of water bottle and that is kept below $5.00
-Jaclyn will continue to research the water bottles based on the specifications discussed as a group.
-Jaclyn will talk to Heidi about Peace Arch Logo.


5.Grow For It Enrichment Class Update:
-The classes are going great and the kids seem to be having a great time and are learning a lot.
-Dan plans to get snacks for the kids.
-Mardi proposed getting kids snacks of Harvest of the Month?
-Kelle will run the soils class on May 2nd– Jaclyn will assist.
-Jaclyn will draft a calendar for parents to dedicate the time to the children’s garden this Summer.
-Try to get people involved with Garden Angles (Gardening Club)

-There was not time to discuss this topic.

-Next meeting will be on Monday, June 12th at 3:45pm at Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Rec. Office.
